  The truth of the Resurrection

  at this time of easter christians celebrate the foundation of their faith, the resurrection of jesus christ.

  without the resurrection, the rest of the christian faith is in vain, with it, the whole plan of god is fulfilled and validated.

  in other words, if the resurrection occurred it proves the existence of god and his plan for salvation.. with that in mind, i offer the proof that the resurrection is a historical fact that be relied upon:.

  The authorities that went to arrest him might not have recognized him (nighttime, dark, cheap torches) and therefore the "judas kiss", but certainly at the trials they would have recognized or an imposter.

  XANDER: Let's keep this simple - I'm talking about the universal Yen/Yang principal of balance - Opposition in all things. If there is a God (Yen), then there is the counter (Yang) which I said "the possibility of demons is real".... and that could answer the basic question "Are Ghosts" (demons) real? (that's another thing, I don't believe all Ghosts are demons, but let's not go there...who has the time or energy)

  There is as little evidence for the existence of ghosts and demons as there is for god and angels. Yet another superstition I think.

  You said "little evidence", which means there is some...and if there is some, that's still evidence. (I think there is more evidence than you believe).

  I think that is one of the major proofs ... there was a REAL power behind the movement...hugh in numbers for that time. If the internet would have been around at the day of Pentacost, a majority of the world would have been converted through emails...(think of the picture downloads alone). It was an unstoppable message, again, with real power behind it that a before apathetic people took hold of and changed a large part of the known world (including measuring our years with the calendar we use today).

  Right....he didn't really exist....okay he existed, but he wasn't Devine. Ok, He was Devine, but His message is not relevant now....YEAH, RIGHT.

  What do you expect from some with an AA degree in Waste Water Management... he's around the filth so much, that's all he sees. (And it's really apparant that it's effected his reasoning a motor skills....sad, isn't it)

  with all the escalating violence in the world today and senseless barbarism, how many people on this site are still living in any sense of security.do any of you have a bright outlook for the future of the world we now live in ?is the un the answer to world peace ?personally my out look is dim .i have seen plenty of posts about the god that will annihilate the earth by killing 99% of all people that do not follow his instructions but the way i see it is that mankind has spent the past 100 years trying to find more powerful means to destroy the population and the planet due to paranoia .can such an untrusting and suspicious species exist with such deadly arsenals at their disposal?

  i believe it is just a matter of time before something gives and we are living in the mad max movie.

  this is my first thread ,so be gentle and thanks for any participation.

  YOU KNOW...are real question for you. What percentage on this board do you think are believers in God (therefore, mostly respect Him) and non-believers? (don't even count the fact if they are JW's ex JW's or whatever). Just what is your sense?

  Is Death the End?

  for once i will try to post a serious topic so here goes.... most of us here have rejected most if not all of the jw teachings.

  i (as well as most of you) certainly do not believe that armaggedon will arrive someday in the future and everybody who is not a jw will die and the witnesses that are left will rebuild the earth.. so, the question i have is this: what do you think happens when you die?.

  do you go to heaven or hell?

  Ah, but there's the rub...if you believe in Paradise after death, shotguns are a big NO NO and therefore no paradise and your problems have just really begun. I too believe in LIFE before mortal death. But I also think we are eternal and that what we call death (boogie boogie) is but a transfer.

  MAVMAN...Coffee Black has a point. Either you believe it and can explain it or you don't. I'm not here to argue the merits of the claim to authority to act as God's "True" organization, I would just like someone to tell me. A few years ago, a JW friend tried to explain it to me saying it goes back 6,000 years, but they weren't specific. I know how to get from Abraham to Christ. But how do you get from Christ and his Apostles to Charles Russell...that they lost me. Can you explain it? An example...who in 1588 represented God's "true" kingdom when the Christian world was basically divided between the Catholics, Protestants and the Church of England?
